The album is released by the local label A&M Releases and from now it's available to order from the label's website.
You can also purchase it in Metal Shop store in Tel-Aviv, Frishman str. 42.

This days the band is preparing to a live presentation of the album, so stay tuned for the date of a gig in the nearest future.

Hello dear friends!!!

After some period of silence we are returning with a brand new album! As we told you before we have planned to record a full-length album. Unfortunately, the result of recording process which we have achieved by now shouldn't be referenced as really “full-length”.

In fact, the album consists of 6 songs (5 brand new tracks + re-recorded version of "More Than My Life”), with total running time of approximately 30 minutes, so the record could be called "a very long EP" :)

We have considered recording a full length album, but due to technical aspects it could lead to a very long period of making. As you understand, we don’t want to disappear for a long time, so we decided to release the new material. The album is called "Prophecy Of The Madman" and contains the following tracks:

1. Dawn Of The New World (Intro)
2. Prophecy Of The Madman
3. Lion and Hawk
4. The Desert (In Your Soul)
5. Sacred Throne
6. More Than My Life (new version)

The recording process took place in "Mantra Studio" in Tel-Aviv from January to March, mixing and mastering were done by Felius – guitarist and leader of Arafel, who made the record sound unique and almost perfect.
So, what should you expect to hear on our new album?

We can tell you that on this recording you will find unique stuff that we have called Dark Power Metal. Heavy riffs, dramatic keys which bring mysterious atmosphere to the songs, kick-ass double bass drumming and raw vocals - that's what the “Prophecy Of The Madman” has to deliver!

There is still no precise release date, but we are making all efforts possible to make the period of waiting as short as possible.

And we had also prepared a small gift: you can download the full version of the title song - "Prophecy Of The Madman" from the Media section.

Samples of each track will also be available very soon.

Desert hails to the bands Azamoth and Arafel and many thanx to all fans who came despite the cold winter evening (yes, + 11 C is very cold for our southern asses ;-)) to support us - the gig was amazing!

Our EP "The Way To Honor" is continuing to receive good reviews from different webzines all over the world. You can check a new one from "Rock Eyez" webzine (3/5) here.

In spite of hard work on the new album Desert will appear live at the presentation of the new record by a great Israeli folk-pagan band Arafel.
The event will take place on 16.02.05 in "Kultura" club, Tel-Aviv.
The gates are open at 19.00, entrance is 50 NIS.

We've prepared some really good news for the New Year! First of all, after a long waiting we have a new drummer. His name is Max Balagula, and after almost 2 months of intensive rehearsals we can tell that this guy kicks some serious ass! So finally the band is entering the studio at the end of January to start the recording process of a debut full-lenght album.

Yes, it's sad but true - after a lot of long and open discussions between all band members we have decided to separate our ways with the drummer and one of the band's founders Den Kovalev. There were a lot of reasons for this decision, and among them are a lot of personal problems which have arisen between Den and the other band members during the work on a new material. Each day the relations between us and Den became more and more difficult, so we have all come to the conclusion that it is now the best for Den to leave the band...
Anyway we want to thank Den for all that he made for DESERT, we'll stay friends and we wish him good luck in his music career and also in his private life!
The main problem for us is that with Den's leaving we need to delay the start of recording process of our full-length album untill we find a new drummer.
So if you could play drums, you're serious and love power metal, feel free to contact us - we need you!
In spite of this difficult atmosphere in our band during the last months, we have written some new songs that are kicking serious ass, so may be the track list of the forth-coming album will change and include the new songs that we are working on during this days.

New pictures from our last show at "Moto Rock Party" were added to the Pics section. It was an amazing gig for us that we performed together with such great metalheads! Specially for all "freewind riders on the horses of steel" among our songs we also have played two Manowar classics "Return Of The Warlord" and "Warriors Of The World United" (featuring special guest - Sergei "Metalheart" from Splash).
We want to thank all who banged their heads for us, many thanks for your supporting and see you all on our next gigs!!!

A new gig have been confirmed: DESERT will appear at "Moto Rock Party" bike show on 19.08.05.
The event will take place in Arad (near the Dead Sea), the gates are open at 17:00 and entrance is 40 NIS.

We have prepared a couple of news for you.
First of all, our EP "The Way To Honor" receives first reviews from DEFENDERS OF STEEL webzine (7/10) and METAL INVADER webzine (3.5/6).

Also we can announce that the working process on the material for the first full-length album is almost done. Finally, the new recording will contain 8 tracks, where 4 of them wil be re-recorded and rearranged version of songs from the debut EP (a small surprise :) - the song "There" on a new album will change it's name and will have absolutly new lyrics !). And also an album will contain 4 brand new tracks, such as "Sacred Throne", "The Desert (In Your Soul)", "The Lightside" and "The Prophecy Of A Madman".
There still no name for the upcoming album. We hope to enter the studio and to start a recording process something like in August - September.

So, it came true - our song "More Than My Life" in the finals of Goth Metal World Radio poll!!!
The finals will take place on Friday May 6th. They will start at 20:00 (Jerusalem time) and will finish on Saturday, May 7th at 8:00.
It will be a great radio show with presenting of each song and more info about the bands that are in the competition and also contests for the listeners. In the finals will partisipate 12 young bands, and 3 winners will get the opportunity of being on the GOTH METAL Sunshine and Lollipops 2005 CD, that will be will be printed in 5000 copies, of which 1000 will be send to radio staions and music promotors/magazines/concert agencys worldwide.
