I was born in the USSR. At a rather early age I joined heavy music. Not being locked on one music direction, I listened (and still do) to all kinds of music and I was enjoying it. Influenced by heavy metal band Metallica, at the age of 16, I picked up a guitar for the first time. Pretty soon I learned to play all of Metallica's songs, which made me realize that I should take my playing to another level. After taking jazz guitar class for two years, I joined the IDF (Israeli Military Forces). But my musical career had not ended... During the service I bought a cheap guitar and spent every minute of my free time practicing.

Shortly after my army service had been complete, I've founded the true power metal band Desert. Why power metal? This style makes it possible to combine different directions of music and there are no shouting or screaming lead vocals. Desert is much more than a metal band, it is the way I live.
